Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi province in China and sub-provincial city.
Known as one of the most important cities in Chinese history, Xi’an is on the list of the four great ancient capitals of China because it was the capital of thirteen dynasties, including Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang. City with more than 3 100 years of history, Xi’an is also the easternmost end of the Silk Road. Called “Perpetual Peace” in ancient times, or Hao earlier, Xi’an is the largest and most developed city in the center of northwestern China and ranks among the first Chinese cities by population. It is also an important university.
